　　"Kaplan-Meier" is typically written with an en dash (i.e., "Kaplan–Meier") to indicate that it is a compound surname formed from the names of two individuals. The use of an en dash is a common convention for compound surnames, especially in scientific writing.

Identity first language puts the disability first in the description, e.g., “disabled”.Person first language is preferred in academic writing. Thus, I have revised all instances using person first language.(例：Patients with glioblastoma (GBM))

　　The use of too many words to convey an idea can muddle the message and divert the reader’s attention. Therefore, in writing, especially academic writing, ideas need to be conveyed as concisely as possible. Accordingly, phrases such as “it has been reported that” and “several previous studies have reported that” are both wordy and redundant and should be avoided as the studies being referred to are typically cited at the end of the sentence.

　　The unnecessary repetition of the same noun in a series tends to cause wordiness. Identify the repeated words and eliminate them.

　　Original: The teacher taught first-grade students, fifth-grade students, and sixth-grade students.

　　Revised: The teacher taught first-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students.

　　Collocations are combinations of words often used together. When certain expressions do not sound “natural” or “right”, consult a dictionary for usage.

　　Original: We arrived on the same conclusion.

　　Revised: We arrived at the same conclusion.

　　A comparative sentence is unclear if the structure is unbalanced. Use a balanced structure when writing such a sentence. One way to do this is by adding the missing preposition, sometimes preceded by a pronoun (that/those).

　　例：

　　Original: The variation intensity for sample A is higher than sample B.

　　Revised: The variation intensity for sample A is higher than that for sample B.
